- Indeed it is. It also is connected to the executive Branch so they are responsible for implementing, supporting, and enforcing the laws made by the legislative Branch. We as citizens have the power to decide who heads the Executive Branch, so it is important to have a basic understanding of the way it functions...

- Judicial Branch
- Your honor, I saw this young man run away from an active robbery and try and say he was at home. Even when we have hard evidence he was at the crime scene.
- The legislative branch is made up of two houses of Congress; the Senate and the House of Representatives. Congress can remove impeach the president and Supreme justices if they abuse the power. In order for a law to pass, the bill must be voted by both houses of Congress then passed to the president. If he signs the bill, it becomes a law, but if he vetoes the bill, it must go back to Congress, but Congress can override the presidential veto with a vote of 2/3 of the Congress.

The judicial branch of Georgia's government is charged with ensuring equal protection under the law for all Georgia citizens. The branch helps make sure that the laws are applied freely and consistently. The judicial branch also helps make sure that punishments are reasonable for the crime.
