- George caught Lennie in the bus and snuck onto the bus while he was running. George hid from Lennie the whole time they were on the bus and then they finally got off after 3 hours. George snuck up behind Lennie after they got off the bus and hit him in the back of the head. Lennie turned around to see who hit him and he screamed with joy¨George¨. George got mad that he tried to run away after he killed Curley´s wife and scolded Lennie
- After George was finished scolding Lennie for the stupid decision he made he said sorry to Lennie for being so hard on him. Lennie was okay with it and even said he was sorry for running off like that and not following Georges's orders when he told him to go to the brush. George was understandably mad at that fact but he couldn´t be too mad because he knew if he stuck around that They would have killed Lennie.George said not to worry instead of telling him the truth fearful that he would freak out that they knew they were after him.
- George told Lennie to look in the book bag that he was carrying because there was a surprise for him in there. When Lennie looked inside he saw lots of money which amounted to 300 dollars. Lennie asked where he got it and George explained how he saw all the money in the boss's room when he was in there and stole it to go on the run. With all that money George had they bought a nice house with land and lots of farm animals to live their dream of having their own farm. After that, they lived a peacful life of farming and no work.
