  • The French were starving to death in the streets. The middle class could barely get any food and peasants just starved to death. People would go as far as to killing others for any food. Main food supply was Bread.

  • Jean Jacques Rousseau was a famous Philosopher that made the Social Contract. This contract means that citizens will not break laws, or certain moral codes. In return if we follow the rules we'll be rewarded with security, survival, and education

  • This was on June 20, 1789. This is where the Third estate was locked out of a meeting and they though the king did it on purpose so they went to a Tennis court and made an oath to never separate until a written constitution had been established
  • This event happened on July 14, 1789. This was when the Parisian army went to the Bastille to get ammunition and arms.Most of these Parisians were people from the third estate. The Bastille held 30,000 pounds of gunpowder. To them they believed this was a symbol of being overpowered.
