- In 1519 Alonso Alvarez de Pineda became the first to European to observe the Texas Coast.

- In 1526 Cabeza de Vaca and his crew went to explorer Florida. In 1528 he and his crew set sail to go back to Mexico. But they got caught in a hurricane. He and his men where shipwrecked on Galveston Island. When Cabeza de Vaca was shipwrecked,the Karankawa tribe, provided food and shelter only because Cabeza de Vaca was good with medicine.

- In 1540, Francisco Vazquez de Cornado, explored Mexico's Southwestern Coast. Which is now (Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, and New Mexico)
- La Salle
- We didn't get along with the Indians.
- In 1540, Fray Marcos de Niza and his crew explored the Grand Canyon. Also the Pacific Ocean, and all the way at hand Kansas.
- Cortes was in Present day Mexico. Aztecs viewed him and his crew as gods, because items they had. Aztecs also possessed wealth of gold and sliver, this made them very rich. 3 G's, Gold, God, and Glory!

- In 1686 La Salle traveled to Mexico. His fort got attacked by Indians. Only 45 out 400 of his men were still alive. In 1687 Him and the surivors went to French Canada . Along the way La Salle was killed by his own men. Out the 400 total only 7 survived
