- Europeans move west taking over land. Conflict between the Europeans and the Native Americans is common. Native Americans are forced to live on reservations. Buffaloes experience rapid population decline at the hands of the white Americans due to a growing demand for beef.

- Europeans brought new diseases, which spread among the Native Americans, causing many deaths. Land was cleared of plants and trees for farming and mining. Native Americans no longer had access to ingredients to make medicines.
