  • As Canadian citizens, we have the right to protest issues we feel are affecting our communities in a negative way!
  • Democratic Rights

  • When I turned 18, I was so excited to be able to vote in the next Federal Election! now, here I am!
  • Mobility Rights
  • My two week trip to Peru was amazing. But I am so happy to be back in Canada!
  • I am so lucky to be able to travel freely as a Canadian!
  • Everyone in Canada is free to express any religion or no religion at all. Canadians are also free to express their religions by praying or wearing religious clothing. In Canada we are free to speak our minds, and prostest against a Government act we may not agree with. However, we are not allowed to use hate speech.
  • Legal Rights
  • But Officer! According to the Canadian Charter of rights and freedoms, you are obligated to tell me why you are arresting me! What have I done?
  • Every Canadian citizen who is 18 years of age or older is allowed to vote in elections in Canada. Elected Governments in Canada are unable to hold power for an unlimited amount of time. According to the Charter, Governments must call an election at least once every five years. However, an election could be delayed due to a national emergency such as a war.
  • Equality Rights
  • Citizens in Canada have the right to enter, leave, or remain in Canada. Permanent Residents and Canadian Citizens have a right to live in or seek work anywhere in Canada. Canadian Governments are not able to discriminate against somebody based on what Province they live in, or what provinces they have lived in.

  • Canadians have the right to be secure against unreasonable searches or seizures. Nobody is able to search you, take away your belongings, or access your personal information with out legal reasons.

  • Equality rights are enforced to be sure that everybody is treated with the same respect, dignity, and consideration no matter their religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity or nationality, gender, etc. Citizens should be treated the same under the Law, and be given the same benifets provided by laws or Government Policies.
  • It has been 16 Years since gay marriage has been legal in Canada! This is amazing!

  • English and French are the official languages of Canada, and have equal rights and privlages as to their use in all institutions of the Parliament and government in Canada. Everybody has the right to use English or French in any debates or or other proceedings of Parliament. Every member of the public also has the right to speak English or French and be spoken to in such in any building oe office where is a sagnifigant demand for communication.
