- Pony and I are going to go back to turn ourselves in.
- What?!?
- The Church is on fire!
- Vroom
- Kids stay out of there!
- There are kids in there!
- In this scene, Dallas, Ponyboy, and Johnny are sitting in a diner. Dally is telling them that they have a Soc spy, and Johnny tells them that they are going to turn themselves into the police. Dally is a little surprised because of all their effort to not be caught, Ponyboy even became a towhead!

- Let's go get them!
- Look the kids!
- Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally are driving past the church. They then realize it is in flames, and they instantly believe that it is their fault.
- Wee Woo
- Don't worry kid you're in the ambulance.
- Where am I? Who are you? Where is Johnny?
- I didn't want to lose you just like we lost mom and dad.
- Ponyboy and Johhny run over to the church with guilt, and they are about to go into the church. The teacher is scared, and the other one is telling them to stay away from the church.
- I really hope that Johnny is ok.
- Pony you sure are an elite hero.
- Ponyboy and Johnny climb into the window and instantly get blared in the face with flames that are as hot as the sun! They were both very excited to get in there and save the kids. They got all the kids out. Then, Ponyboy came out, and the last thing he remembered was Dally slugging him on the back.
- Ponyboy wakes up in an ambulance and notices that Johnny and Dally are missing! He also realizes after the teacher told him what happened that he would of died if he chose to take off the jacket which he was about to take off. In the moment, he realized that his back felt as it had just been hit by a truck!
- Ponyboy meets back up with Darry and Sodapop, and he tells them about his rough adventure. He also tells them that he doesn't know if Johnny is ok. Darry rembers when their parents died, and he didn't want to lose Ponyboy.
