- When Eddie was a little boy, Joe and him were playing catch, when the ball went into the street. Eddie ran out to get the ball, unaware of a car that was coming. Inside the car was the blue man, who had to swerve his car out of the way in order to avoid Eddie. However, after he swerved the car, the Blue Man got into a wreck where he later died.
- Eddie and the Blue man were at the pier after Eddie died, in the Blue Man's heaven, and they talked about how all of the events lined up. Eddie recalled seeing posters of the Blue Man at the pier, and was shocked when he found out that it was because of him that the Blue Man died.
- The Blue Man explained how everyone is connected in one way or another. Eddie knew the Blue Man from Ruby Pier, and the Blue Man knew Eddie from when he was killed. They both knew each other from different situations, and impacted each other differently.
