- I'll tell you God's truth. I am the son of some wealthy people in the Middle West-all dead now. I was brought up in America but educated at Oxford, because all my ancestors have been educated there over the years.

- yes I know Daisy Buchanan because in the war I served as an officer in Louisiana and i fell in love with daisy before she married tom so can you please invite her and i will do what ever you ask me to do
- do you even know who is daisy Buchanan
- We haven't met for many years.

- Five years next November.
- Gatsby is driving his car and telling Nick the normal life story that he tells everybody. Nick is suspicious of Gatsby especially since he rushes Oxford out and doesn't know where the Middle West is. I chose this scene because it helps to establish Gatsby as a more complex character in the story.
- gatsby and nick are having a talk about daisy and how she and gatsby fell in love during the war and that gatsby wants nick to invite Daisy for some tea because he thinks that she is going to refuse him and that he wants to meet her at any coast. I chose this scene because it helps the reader to understand how gatsby is in love with daisy
- After talking with Miss Baker, Nick decides to call up Daisy up to invite her over for tea. When Gatsby comes over he is a nervous wreck and has trouble talking to Daisy at first. I chose this scene because it shows how nervous and glad Gatsby and Daisy are to see each other again.
