- My name is Joseph Haydn. I am know for my compositions in the Classical genre. Some call me the "Father of the string quartet and piano sonata." During my life from 1732-1809 I created 70 string quartets, 106 symphonies, and 52 piano sonatas.
- My name is Wolfgang Mozart. I am known for my compositions in the classical genre creating and expanding music in the opera, symphony, string quartet and quintet, solo concerto, and the piano sonata. During my life from 1756-1791, I created 600 works of music in these different forms.
- I helped to expand the forms and style of the string quartet and symphony.
- I brought the symphony, sonata, and opera to new heights. I brought emotion and feeling into the music and enabled the music to connect with the audience through expression.
- I began to make operas more comedic and expressive. But I also began to phase out operas so I could focus more on symphonies and quartets after the 1770's.
