Hester Prynne and Reverend Dimmsdale getting it on in the woods. They both know that it was wrong but they're in love.
Chillingsworth going to find Hester after everyone thinking he was dead. He's all old and gross looking with a massive beard
Hester is pregnant and that ain't it because of sexism in this time. The Theocracy is mad at her because Adultery is not allowed.
The church is deciding on what they are going to do to Hester. The were appalled by the thought of someone having a bastard child. They decide not to kill her but to shame her with a "scarlet A" that she has to wear on all of her clothes.
Reverend Dimmsdale is dying because he's feeling pressure from the whole community. He can't hold his secret in anymore. Chillingsworth is aiding him but secretly trying to make him confess because he suspects the rev. The reverend dies and Chillingsworth gives up.
Six years later her and her daughter are in the woods playing and living their lives with genuine joy and happiness. She decided to wear the A until the day she dies; being a strong female role model. Moral of the story Sexism is stupid along with theocracies.
