- British want to stop sugar smuggling between the french and the dutch West indies. So they put the sugar act to increase revenues to fund the British Empire. which started a war and after two years of fighting Britain lowered the tax.
- Boston Massacre
- The stamp Act was put in to play to help pay for British troops stationed in colonies during the seven years of war. Great britain imposed direct tax on the British colonies in America and requiredhe colonists to pay a tax, represented by a stamp, on various forms of papers, documents, and playing cards.
- Boston Tea Party
- The Townshend act were measures the what ever was imported to the American colonist had to be taxed including goods. So the British sent troops to enforce the tax. But only created tension between the troops and the colonists.
- Intolerable Acts
- The Boston massacre took place in Boston march 5th 1770. But two days earlier the colonists and British troops got into a fight with the colonists. the reason for this was because British troops were sent to be stationed in Boston. an when they got there the colonist were angry for the unfair tax so the colonist started variably attacking the troops started throwing stones ,sticks, snowballs. at the troops. which led to five colonists being killed.
- The Boston tea party all happened because Britain was deep in debt, so the British Parliament imposed a series of taxes on American colonists to help pay those debts. So on December 16,1733, in Griffin 's wharf, Boston Massachusetts. The colonists were mad because of taxing from Britain they dumped 342 chests into the harbor.
- The Intolerable Acts Was a set of laws. those laws were put in play because of what happened during the Boston tea party. These laws were aimed to punish the colonists for dumping tea in the harbor.
