- This was a turning point for Greece in the Persian wars, as they began to see themselves as one country, united and strong, and formed the Delian league for all the Greek city-states.

- In the Battle of Marathon, the final battle, the Greeks used their wits and armor to defeat the Persians' troops which became cornered, where they were surrounded by the Greek troops.

- The Peloponnesian War ended the Golden Age of Greece and the fall of Athens, once the strongest city-state in Greece. The balance in power in Greece changed when Athens was absorbed into the Spartan empire, and its democracy was destroyed.
- The Peloponnesian war ended with the Spartans winning; they did this by surrounding the city and destroying crops. capturing the Athenian Navy at Aegospotami and surrounded Athens until they were forced to surrender because of starvation.
- Please spare us! We promise to stop being harsh on you guys! We are starved! We can't fight anymore! Many of us are dying!

- This event was one of the few events Alexander the Great had, and it had a big impact on the world. It showed that the Persian empire wasn't that strong, and gave many other empires confidence to face them. This would eventually lead to the fall, or the beginning of the end, of the Persian empire.
- This is it, Persian empire. I have proven that anyone can defeat the Persian empire. Your end is near!
- Alexander the great lead his Macedonian army into the Battle of Issus, which was a Macedonian victory and it marked the beginning of the end of Persian power. Alexander led his army across the river, surrounding them, and destroying the sides of the empire before forming the small, trapped circle of Persians. It was the first time the Persian army had been defeated along with King Darius III.
