- The Exposition starts when Rainsford and Whitney arrived to a large island in their yacht. The Island was named "Ship Trap Island". It was a dark tropical night were they just talked a night about their hunting skills what they love and don't.
- The conflict started when Rainsford and Whitney started talking about animals Rainsford thought it was a sport and he loved it and he didn't care about how the animals felt but Whitney on the other hand cared for the animals. So, they got mad and went their separate way.
- The main part of the Rising Action was when Rainsford and Whitney went their separate ways Rainsford ran into this man his name was General Zaroff. They started talking Rainsford was saying that his a hunter and the general also said the same but for some reason Rainsford felt suspicious about something. The general was a manhunter too!!
- The Climax is when General Zaroff took out his gun and he went chasing him. Rainsford ran as fast as he can to go find Whitney because he was terrified when he found out now it was like he was one of the animals when they hunt them.
- In the Falling Action Rainsford finally found Whitney they went back to the same island they started at the ship and they both agreed to go back home because Rainfords was scared after having to run from that gun so he finally learned his lesson.
- The resolution is when Rainsford learned his lesson about what Whitney said to him. Whitney said "Don't you feel bad for the animals" Rainsford never really cared about them because he wasn't the one getting chased so now since he was he learned his lesson and faced his callenges.
