  • Follow me, I'll show you honey
  • Hey mom, how does electricity work?
  • *loudly whispers*OH, that makes more sense now, I always wondered why he kept on getting electrocuted.
  • *whispers* Look, while he was plugging in his phone charger, he shocked himself because he is holding the fork. The fork is metal so it conducts electricity that was in the circuit that runs through the house.
  • Ow! How did I electrocute myself again?!
  • OH, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks mom!
  • *whispers* The charger is a type of transformer. A transformer makes the voltage of the electricity higher or lower, the regular phone charger is a step-down. It lowers the electricity so it doesn't break the phone
  • It still hurts... wait somebody is in my room, I should pretend that I don't know they are there so they don't think I know.
  • Cindy decided she wanted to skip school today, but when she checked her phone, her friends were all texting her that she missed lesson on science for a quiz, so when she went home she asked her mom to teach her about electricity and currents. Her mom gladly taught her about electricity and currents, since she used to be a science major, but changed to biology.
  • Pfft... Billy is so stupid, he doesn't even know how electricity works
  • ha ha ha ha ha
  • That girl over there is kinda crazy, she's laughing to herself. I wonder what she is thinking about.
  • Cindy's mom brought her to Billy, her brother's, room. They watched as Billy with a fork and wireless charger in hand tried to plug the charger in. He managed to accidentally plug in the charger with the fork. He was electrocuted. Mom explained that the fork is made of metal which is a conductor and when the fork went in the socket, the electric current flowed through the fork and shocked Billy
  • OK. I have to focus for this. This is very important, pay attention. ...Hey what's this "insulator" thing? Is it like the opposite of a conductor? Yea, I think that's what mom said.
  • Lets see, A. B. C. D., ummmm... I'm going to chose D. conductor. Why didn't I study for this?Mom's gonna kill me when I come back with a 0 on a test.
  • Mom describes how the charger works. She tells Cindy that a charger is a type of transformer and that there are two types of transformers, a step-up and a step-down. Cindy is starting to understand more about how certain items work to make electricity useful to us.
  • Great job, honey! I would love to teach you more, maybe next time it will be about magnets, electromagnets, or maybe even a battery.
  • Look! I got an A+ on my quiz! Thank you for helping me! <3
  • The next dayOn the early ride to school on the bus, Cindy tries to remember everything on what her mother taught her, but all she could think of was her brother getting electrocuted. She giggled the whole way there. But she was also remembering all the information that her Mom told her since she was actually listening to her and not focusing that Billy had just electrocuted himself.
  • When Cindy got into class, she realized that she had to be serious since it was a big part of their grade on that chapter. She remembered what her mom said about the transformers and conductors. When she found a question about insulators, she figured that it may be the opposite of a conductor, as she remembered her teacher telling her that days before. While everyone else didn't know what it was because they didn't study.
  • When Cindy got home she decided to never, ever skip school again and showed her mom that she got an A+ on her very important science quiz. She wanted her mom to teach her more about electricity because she was such a great help, so her mom gave her some suggestions. Cindy realized that everything can work together to make something work. Billy was just realizing that they were the two that were whispering in his room and was furious that Mom made an example out of him.
  • Why did you use me to make an example for Cindy, mom?! Why didn't you do dad, he does lots of silly things?
