- The Mountain men skilled were trappers, and hunters they would trap animals then skin them and sell the fur. The life of a mountain man was tough, they had to travel in small groups that consisted of 2-3 people. The men had to face danger of wild animals, dehydration, starvation, and Native Americans.
- Wicked Rendezvous
- The Mountain Men would have to bring a lot of supplies and clothing to stay prepared. They had to bring a riding saddle, a bridle sack with 6 beaver traps, a blanket, gun powder, a horn, bullet pouch, hatchet, and a pommel. For clothes the Mountain Men bang leather breeches, leggings, coat, hat or cap and moccasins.
- The seasons determined when the Mountain Men would hunt or trap. During the fall and spring they would hunt. However in the summer they would go to rendezvous. Then is the Winter they camped out and rarely hunted. The Mountain men had to deal with extreme heat or cold and they had to bring cloths for each season.
- In the Summertime the men would gather for rendezvous. The rendezvous started as a way for the men to sell their furs, but they started to grow; more people started to show up so more attractions were added. There was dancing, singing, fur selling and many more. There was also a diverse crowd who went to; Native Americans, French Canadians, and travels all attended the rendezvous.
