- Charles I was unpopular for many reasons. One reason was Charles put more ritual in the church. This caused thousands of puritans to leave and those who stayed were upset.
- Restoration of the Stuart Monarch
- During the civil war England was very split. One side being Cavaliers who were supporters of the king. While the other side the Round heads were parliamentary forces.
- Glorious Revolusion
- When Charles was over thrown by William of Orange. Shortly his overthrow they had him publicly executed.
- English bill of RIghts
- Cromwell died in 1658 Cromwells armty realized how didnt like militaristic goverment. After realizing that they restored power to the monarchy im 1660 to charles II son of Charles I.
- The glorious revolution was set in place becuase of citizen unrest. On top of this british leaders invited William of Orange to invade england and remove James the Second from the throne. After this William of Orange was king.
- The English Bill of Right moved the goverment away from an absolute monarchy and more towards a constitutional monarchy. The English Bill of Rights did this by giving more power to parliement and moved the king away from religion.
