- War is the result of evil intentions that develop into conflict. War often involves the killing of many people such as soldiers, innocents, animals, and land.
- Consequences Of War
- A big factor as to why war is caused is due to greed. Throughout the scriptures, God faithfully provides for the needs of his people. However, we let our greed control us and seek more. When we do not receive more, we seek out the fortunes of others and begin to steal. Sometimes the desire for more can lead to great wars.
- War And The Bible
- Sometimes, people may wrong you or someone close to you. This may anger you and spark resentment towards the person. This is the cause of revenge. Despite God's teachings, we go against Him and take revenge. This revenge can also lead to great wars.
- War and God
- Due to wars, several people die. Not only do wars kill soldiers, but it is common for several innocent beings, people, animals, and lands, to be caught in the conflict and be killed. Others have lost their friends, wives, husbands, children, mothers, fathers, etc.
- The Fifth Commandment says: "Thou shalt not kill." Despite this teaching from God, we go against His words and kill many in wars.
- By simply following in Jesus’ footsteps and listening to God’s teachings and the teachings of the Church, wars will stop taking the lives of our brothers and sisters and allow us to come together as one and love each other.
