- There once were 4 prisoners in a cave. They had been prisoners since they were kids, and lived completely chained so that they can only see in front of them. There is no light except for a fire behind them, and the light that bounces back against the cave wall in front of them.
- Some men carry objects around in front of the fire, casting shadows on the wall in front of them. Some of the men talk. Some don't.
- So...this is boring.
- To the prisoners, the world is just shadows. They've never known anything else. So they come up with names for the shadows they see. And whenever one of the men behind them makes a sound, they think the sound is coming from shadows in front of them.

- Listen! The blorp is talking!
- Hey dude, so basically your whole life is a lie.
- The men unchain one of the prisoners, and force him to get up. He looks around, but his eyes hurt. The men tell him that the shadows aren't real things, and how his whole life is a lie. The prisoner becomes confused, and starts to think the men are lying to him.
- No! That can't be true!
- Hey, do you want to go outside?
- Not really.
- Well too bad, you're gonna have to.
- The men drag the prisoner up out of the cave and into the bright sunlight. His eyes burn, and the men leave him to fend for himself.
- Ugh. Why do I have to deal with this?
- AHH! MY EYES!
- Ah, the great outdoors!
