- Shrek is an ogre that lives in the swamps by himself. one day his swamp was invaded by fairy tale characters as they were banished from their homes by knights under lord farquaad. angered, he goes to lord farquaad to get his swamp back. Before he does, he frees a donkey from the knights and he companies Shrek.
- Climax
- When Shrek arrived at farquaad castle, they made a deal that Shrek would get his swamp back, in exchange for rescuing Princess Fiona from a dragon so that farquaad can marry her.
- Falling action
- After finding the castle and teh dragon, Shrek decides to avoid the dragon and just grab Fiona and run. When this happens Fiona hates Shrek after as he was supposed to slay the dragon and they live happily ever after, which he did not. While this is going on, the dragon and Donkey catch feelings for each other.
- Resolution
- As they are returning to Farquaad, Shrek and Fiona fall in love with each other but do not admit it. but at the knight, Donkey finds out that at knight Fiona turns into a Shrek and can only be increased if a prince marries her. Which is why she can't love Shrek. Shrek overhears this and saddens when hearing it.
- when Fiona and farquaad are about to get married, Shrek stops the weddings to confess his love to fiona, which she then realizes that her appearance doesn't matter and they confess their love for each other, as farquaad get eaten Donkey new girlfriend, the dragon.
- In the end, Shrek gets his swamp back and marries Fiona. And surprisingly, live happily ever after.
