A story of a Venezuelan family of immigrants living with us all started with my dad meeting their dad at pickup soccer.

After meeting through soccer, my dad and Robinson(the father) would slowly get closer
So where are you from?
My family and I immigrated from Venezuela recently

They stayed in a house of someone that was willing to host them, they all shared one room.
It wasn't the best conditions, the hosts were mean, yet they didn't have any other option.

Overtime our families got closer since their son was my age and their oldest was my sisters age.

how would you guys like for the Valencia's to live with us while they figure things out?
Lets do it!!, that would be amazing to have them live with us.
They didn't like the way they were treated by their hosts and wanted to get them out of there. All of us agreed as we loved their family and being with them.
Our parents realized how close our two families had gotten and wanted to offer them a place to stay.

We are more than happy to have y'all here.
You don't understand how much this means to us and our family.

We shared everything, clothes, shoes, everything, but it was like have another set of sbilings. They told us stories of Venezuela and the hardships they faced there.
One time, we got robbed in our home, and we had received many threats. It wasn't safe to live in our country anymore and thats why we are here now.
It was special to have a family from a third world country living with us, because it taught me to not take anything for granted as many around us would kill for just a percentage of our lifestyle.

After a couple months of memories and time living with the Valencia's, they were facing a lot of difficulty settling in the United States on their own. They had decided it was time to look elsewhere for a safer new life.
We are going to go to try and settle in Spain Fernando Sr. . We haven't been able to stabilize ourselves here and believe we may have better luck in Madrid
