  • Hello, my name is Oct. I know weird name. Besides the point. I want to talk to talk about the Carbon Cycle in my habitat. First let's talk about how carbon even ends up here. Now plant-like living organisms such as plankton receive carbon through photosynthesis, then obtain more from the atmosphere because carbon dioxide dissolves in water.
  • After those plant like organisms use photosynthesis, they then go into cellular respiration by combining that carbon with oxygen t make sugar. But if that organism were to get eaten they would transfer the carbon along to another organism, then once that organism dies and decomposes cellular respiration by combining that carbon with oxygen t make sugar. But if that organism were to get eaten they would transfer the carbon along to another organism, then once that organism dies and decompose.
  • Coming up here to show you that that the ocean water evaporates and bring carbon into the atmosphere, it carbon is also stored in limestone. Limestone is mined for cement. Limestone is also a key part of the ocean, so it being mined away removes carbon from our environment and it's a human impact. When limestone is taken away from the environment it destroys habitats for many creatures.
  • Sadly there are people who bring a hube tube down here and put it into the ground to mine for fossil fuels. Sometimes they make a mess with the oil and it gets everywhere and on everything, it kills plants and animals and forces many animals to leave their homes.
  • Before I go, have you by chance seen my crab friend. He was supposed to be doing this with me but I guess he got camera shy?
  • Maybe i was there and maybe I wasn't. All i know now is that I'm watching this sick sunset.
