  • As a child, Fidel Castro worked in his parents farm, and was in a school in Havana, Cuba called Belén College. He went to university in 1945 and in 1947 he played a small role in the attempt of taking down the Dominican Republic's dictator. He then ran away and went back to college to study laws, he then received his degree 3 year later.
  • Fidel Castro became a lawyer and defended the people from Cuba with his knowledge. In 1952 he was candidate to Cuban Congress, but the Cuban dictator, Gen. Fulgencio Batista cancelled the elections. Fidel and his brother, Raúl got mad and bought guns and 150 shots. On year later the Castros attempted an unsuccessful on the Cuban army and ended up going to prison.
  • In 1955 the 2 brothers were set to freedom however they were banned form New York City and Mexico. They formed a group with around 80 rebels. However in 1956 they were attacked and most of them died. The survivors including the Castros were able to escape into the mountains, for the next 2 years, that was the placed the rest of the gang lived making an army.
  • In 1959 Gen. Fulgencio Batista left the country and Fidel and his army overtook the government. He declared that the Cuban government would no further be a dictatorship, but soon his own words were ignored. All his enemies and people that hated him were in jail, in 1961 the United States invaded Cuba on an attempt of taking the government down, however the mission was unsuccessful. In 1962 an international crisis appeared and there were bombs set all around Cuba, Castro had to do a negotiation with the USA president, John F. Kennedy, and the Soviet premier, Nikita Khrushchev. However after the agreement, Castro refused to allow an inspection team enter Cuba, and in the end of the year Castro released 1113 prisoners to in return to American food and drugs.

  • In 2006, when recovering from a surgery, Castro passed the power to his brother, Raúl. In February 2008 Raúl Castro won the elections, and in 15 of November, 2016, Fidel Castro died.
