Lady Macbeth persuades Macbeth to kill Duncan despite his reluctance he agrees.

She tells him he is 'too full o'th milk o'th human kindness'

Macbeth kills sleeping Duncan, Lady Macbeth then takes the daggers and frames the guards for the deed. Malcom and Donalbain (Duncans sons) flee in fear of the their own lives being taken.

Macbeth orders the murders to kill Banquo and Fleance, Banquo is killed but Fleance escapes. That night Banquo's ghost appears at the royal banquet and Macbeth causes a scene.

Macbeth visits the witches once more to ask for more prophecies, he is told he cannot be killed by anyone woman-born, and that Macbeth will not be threatened until Birnam wood moves to Dunsdaine. This all makes Macbeth overly confident.

All has been lost for Macbeth. Despite being King he is so unhappy and paranoid. He seems unbothered by the new of Lady Macbeths death. Birnam wood is approaching the castle and an angry Macduff (born of caesarian) kills Macbeth. Malcom then becomes king.
