- In elementary and middle school, I never worried about my grades in school. I was always on the honor roll, and I hardly struggled. Because of this, I assumed I'd be successful.

- Then in 2020, during my freshman year of high school, the world experiences a pandemic. Switching to online school was an adjustment I didn't expect to be so hard. I couldn't find my purpose and had no motivation.

- During quarantine, I witnessed so many world issues become more present. This is where I realized how cruel the world really was. It's where I realized growing up was more than deciding what career I wanted to pursue.

- I began to realize how much growing I've done. Before I knew it I was in my sophomore year of high school. Time was flying and I hadn't even realized. I spent a lot of time of quarantine looking back at my childhood and how fast it went by.

- The future I had planned for myself had become a blur. Over quarantine, I became unmotivated to do well in school, but I still pushed myself. I started wondering what I would do after high school, and how I'd manage. Growing up and moving along in life proved to be more difficult than I had imagined.
