Augustus was an emperor of Rome. He was that started the Pax Romana which means ��������Roman Peace¨. According to the text, on pg. 14, it states, ¨Augustus´ reign began the Pax Romana, or ¨Roman Peace¨---200 years of peace and prosperity enjoyed across the empire. ¨This means that Augustus started many good things for Rome during his reign as emperor.
Latin and Literature
Romans made trading more efficient because they built roads. According to the text ¨Romes first great road was the Appian way built in 312 B.C. it connected Rome with southern Italy.
Eastern and Western Roman Empires
Romans allowed the Jews to worship one God. On page 24,"Rome began to enforce emperor worship, and the tensions exploded into conflict.¨ A new religion spread.
End of the Western Roman Empire
Christianity spread threw out Rome because one man named Paul. According to the text he ¨was most responsible for spreading early Christianity. Paul became a missionary , a person who travels to another country to do religious work¨ and that´s how christianity spread threw out Rome.
Diocletian had a lot on his plate. According to page 34,¨Diocletian had a radical plan: In A.D. 285, he divided the empire in two. Diocletian ruled the Eastern Roman Empire, and his trusted friend Maximian ruled the Western Roman Empire.¨ Each region focused on their own.
The end of the western Roman empire was delayed by Diocletian and Constantine. Based on page 37,¨Three main tribes of barbarians would finally tear the Western Roman Empire apart.¨ The Roman frontier migrated to better farm land.
