  • On August 24, 1814 British forces marched into Washington D.C. and set fire to several key buildings including the White House and the Capitol. Government officials, along with president James Madison had to evacuate the city.
  • What are you doing. Why are you burning the capital building.
  • Burn it to the ground. Wait, is that a tornado!
  • This battle started on Sept. 13, 1814 at the U.S. Ft. McHenry near Baltimore. Ther American fort that guarded Baltimore harbor, was bombarded for 27 hours straight. The attack failed, and On the morning of September 14th,, the U.S flag still flew above Ft. McHenry.
  • Why won't this fort go down. How is that flag still waving.
  • Fort McHenry never dies.
  • On January 8, 1815, the British army invaded the city of New Orleans. Andrew Jackson assembled a last-minute militia that included Native Americans, pirates, freed African Americans, and ordinary citizens to defend the city. Jackson wind the battle and becomes a war hero.
