- During the downfall of the Ottoman Empire, France and England partitioned land into the countries we know as:Bulgaria, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and the Palestinian territories, Macedonia, Romania, Syria, parts of Saudi Arabia. Although, they didn't think about how this would affect religious groups and how it would start conflict in the Middle East, such as the opposition of Israel.
