- A long time ago before the terrible accident I lived with my daughter and my step daughter,Yeh-Shen. Oh how I disliked that girl so much,she was prettier than my own child.. Oh how jealous I was of her.
- Her father,my husband,had passed right after her mother, joining her in death, so I had to take her in.I gave her the cruelest of jobs among our household as a way to punish her.Even dressed in rags she still looked pretty which made my anger grow more and more.
- Keep cleaning and don't miss a single spot!.
- Until one day, I had found out that she had a pet fish that she had been keeping a secret from me for so long, she brought it food and everyday it would come out and lay on its side and wait to be fed. I was furious! How could she keep a secret from me!!
- So when I got the chance,, I killed it by tricking it into thinking I was Yeh-Shen. I cooked it for dinner and my daughter and I ate it.I thought hopefully that would teach her a lesson.!
- There was an event in our village where boys and girls will find their future spouse.I took my daughter and told Yeh-Shen to stay home so she wouldn't draw attention off of my daughter.

- Eventually,we found out Yeh-Shen went to the festival and had lost a shoe.The King was looking for who owned said shoe,so he set it in the middle of the town to let women try it on.Yeh-Shen took her shoe back at nightfall.The King found her and they eventually married leaving me and my daughter behind.Resulting in our deaths.
