- The Estates General tool place in Versailles o May 5, 1789. King Louis XVI was confronted by the commoners about the tax burden. The commoners were unsuccessful in reaching an agreement. This was the beginning of the French Revolution. This event also lead to a rage by the commoners.
- August 26, 1789
- The 3rd estate would met at the tennis court . They would meet here because the king shut down everywhere that they could meet, so they went here to talk in secret. They formed an oath to take charge and to speak out against the government. Then stormed the builded and demanded them to change the constentuztion and they would not back down until they did. They rioted until they go what they wanted.
- October 5, 1789
- On this day the French Revolution happened. The third estate decided to raid the Bastille. A huge mob of these people came inside killing everyone that were working for the British. They wanted to speak out and be heard because they were being treated unfair. They went goin tot back down until they got what they wanted.
- June 20, 1791
- On August 26, 1789 the national constituent Assembly adopts the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. The third estate got what they were looking for. Although the king signed for this they still aren't done. There were still problems they cared about. This document only was put in place for the poor people to mention the idea about sepration power, the right of freedom, rights of religion, speech, and liberty.
- The bread was become very scarce and high in price. The people were angry and starving. They started a huge violet riot against the king. they marched 12 miles. They were very upset because they could not afford food and only the rich could eat and they were starving. They marched to versailles to yell at the king and riot.
- The king and queen tried to escaped from the palace because they knew they were getting executed. when they were trying to leave the guards caught them. They were trying to run away because they were getting excuted for treason. They b both tried to fee. But they both got caught and killed.
