- Exposition Josefs dad was taken from his home in Germany by the Nazis to be taken to a concentration camp at the time Hitler was in power.
- Inciting incidentHitler was letting the Jews leave as long as they got far away from Germany so Josef and his family got on a boat called the MS St Louis and were on their way to Cuba.
- No this is all an act they’re gonna send us back to Germany
- “Honey it’s ok we’re safe now.”
- Rising ActionJosefs Father was scared he was gonna be sent back to a concentration camp in Germany so he jumped overboard in hopes he wouldn’t survive.
- why is he doing this
- Climax Josef and other men on the ship decided that they needed to take control of the ship and ram it into the US but the captain talked them into not doing that.
- “We are taking this ship back to the US.”
- “If you do that they will send you all back to Germany.”
- Falling actionJosef and his mother and sister had been sent to France to live, about Eight months later though the Nazis invaded France.

- ResolutionThe Nazis caught them but Josefs mother paid them but only had enough to save one child so Ruthie stayed safe.
