Frankenstein Storyboard

After everything that has happened (Justine and William's death), Victor wants to take some time to himself to get some peace. He decides to go up tothe summit of Montanvert,in an attempt to boost his spirits up.

At noon, Victor arrives at the top of the glacier. He finally feels peace and can relax. He looks at the beautiful view and thinks, My heart, which was before sorrowful, now swelled with something like joy, (Shelley 80).

But his peace did not last long. He saw the creature, and it was coming towards him with superhuman speed, I perceived, as the shape came nearer that it was the wretch whom I had created, (Shelley 80). Victor was shocked and was quick to judge the creature again by his appearance.

Victor gets very angry with the creature and tells him to leave. He threatens him without even trying to hear the creature and understand him, Begone, vile insect! Or rather, stay, that I may trample you to dust! (Shelley 81). He gets irritated also because of the people that the monster killed.

The creature then asked him to at least hear his story and try to understand what was going on with him. He reminds Victor that he is his creation, Remember that I am thy creature; I ought to be thy Adam, but I am rather the fallen angel, whom thou drivest from joy for no misdeed, (Shelly 81). He explains that he was once good, but after being abandoned, he turned to revenge.

Victor eventually understood that he had to give the creature a chance to explain himself. He followed it to his hut and sat down close by the fire to hear the story his creation was about to tell.
