- Well the government established a program called the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) where they would try to improve and provide funds for Native tribes.

In keeping with the wide diversity of Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages as distinct cultural and governmental entities further, the BIE is to manifest consideration of the whole person by taking into account the spiritual, mental, physical, and cultural aspects of the individual within his or her family andtribal or village context”
- Well it sounds like they really want to turn things around but didn't they provide funds last time too yet many of the schools still ended up shutting down?
- Well you see now, that all the funding and programs they have created are really up for debate. It's easy to say something on paper but it's really hard to put it into action and really make it work.
