- Montressor and Fortunato walk into each other during a carnival. They discuss about the wine Amontillado has.

- I actually am a Mason.
- On the way to the Catacombs Montressor tells Fortunato that he can find someone as good.

- As they were about to enter the catacombs Fortunato asked if Montressor is a mason.
- Montressor is slowly leading Fortunato into his trap but he's asking about Fortunato's health again to make it more friendly until the end.
- Montressor is placing the bricks down while he has Fortunato in his trap which will kill him.
