- Persephone finds comfort in the Underworld by a garden made by Askalaphos (Hades's gardener)for Persephone. She eats 1/3 of it

- Meanwhile, Demeter has flown into an extreme rage, resulting in threatening to starve everyone on earth. Zeus is forced to send Hermes to the Underworld and retrieve Persephone.
- But, Hermes returned with the news that Persephone has to stay, because she ate a pomegranate in the Underworld
- I am sorry. You ate something in the Underworld. You are going to have to stay .
- Hestia suggested that Persephone divide her time. Since she ate 1/3 of the pomegranate, she stays 1/3 of the year with Hades. The rest of the time will be with Demeter. Everyone agrees, and Persephone is reunited with her mother (Whenever Persephone goes to the Underworld, though, Demeter kills all the crops, until her daughter goes back to her-causing seasons.)
