- First up, my friends from the Terrestrial Planets! They are the 4 planets closest to the sun, they all have higher densest, as well as solid surfaces.
- Hi, I'm Mercury! I am the planet closest to the sun. I am covered in impact craters, impacts left by objects striking my surfaces
- I'm Venus! I was named after a love Goddess. I have a very thick atmosphere, which makes me the hottest planet because I trap the hot air in.
- You know me! It's Earth, you live with me! I am the only known planet that can support life!
- I'm your neighbor planet, Mars! Just like all the other Terrestrial Planets, I contain mills and valleys. I also have volcanoes!
- We would go see our Jovian friends, but they are outside the Asteroid Belt, and we don't have time to go all the way out there. Because they are so far away, their orbits, journeys around the Sun, are bigger and take more time.
- Our last stop will be here on Earth, so that I can show you how you can use what you'v learned at home! There are many planetariums and public telescopes you can visit to view your new friends. A very famous telescope is the Hubble Space Telescope.
- Thank you, Mettie, for taking me on a Space Adventure! I learned so much. I will be sure to tell my dad what a shooting star actually is.
