- THE QUEEN IS DEAD!!!
- Its over Charles, surrender.
- Queen Elizabeth dies with no immediate family and James I her cousin, becomes king. James believes in Divine rights of kings. When he dies his son Charles I becomes king.
- Charles I also believes in Divine right of kings. Parliament gets worried, and makes the Petition of power. Charles I ignores it and continues to rule how he wants. This starts the Civil war, Parliament (roundheads) vs. the king and his supporters (Cavaliers). The war is won by Parliament (Round heads) run by Oliver Cromwell.

- King Charles is publicly exiled, which caused shock within the people. Then Oliver Cromwell starts to rule and creates a military dictatorship.
- BILLOFRIGHTS
- After Oliver Cromwell, Charles II comes into rule. He doesn't believe in Divine Rights of Kings. He creates Habeas Corpus Law, and says Anglicism is the official religion of England.
- When Charles II dies, James II becomes king, Parliament becomes worried because he is openly Catholic and has a son who can take the throne after him. Parliament gets mad and asks William of Orange to overthrow James II. James II hears about this and runs off, there is almost no bloodshed.
- William of Orange and his wife Mary (who is also James II daughter), are invited to take the thrown. They accept and help write the English bill of rights.
