- Max tries to escape from the camp and gets shot. Sad, non-diegetic music with diegetic shooting and a thump sound when the body of Max falls on the ground. Spotlight on Max and low-key lighting on the aliens. Dolly as Bill looks at the body, then turns around and gives his friend instructions.
- The remaining friends build a tunnel. Bridging shot as the friends mine the tunnel. Spotlight on the group of friends. Diegetic crumbling, falling and clinking noises and non-diegetic tense music. Dolly as they move down the tunnel and prepare to climb out
- The group of friends climb out of the hole and run off. Spotlight on the hole and each person that makes it out. Non-diegetic triumphant music. The group tries to get back to Earth to build another rocket but get caught by the Aliens.
- The group of friends are forced into a room and Jane asks the alien guard to explain why the humans cant just move to another planet. The aliens say that if the humans move to another planet, they are bound to cause global warming and destruction of renewable and non-renewable sources, eventually causing a whole planet's worth of life to collapse. The humans don't agree with this and escape again. Diegetic talking noise and a two-shot between the aliens and the humans. Spotlight on the aliens and the humans. (1)
- The humans escape and build a rocket to escape to another planet. The aliens fail to catch them. Non-diegetic triumphant music with a spotlight on the rocket. Pan as rocket passes the camera.
- The humans lad on Mars and start a colony, but their descendants exploit the landscape and resources, causing the same mistake that their ancestors made on Earth. Non-diegetic upbeat music which slowly turns into sad, gloomy music. Bridging shot.
