- Hi, I am Robby. I am a slave, that works on plantation. It is the 1800's and sadly slavery is still in the North.
- These are my brothers and sisters. My parents are out working on another farm right now, because we were seperated.
- I just wish they treated us all better. The master treats us poorly, and never are nice.
- Hi. It is very hot out and we have been working for 5 hours strait. Luckily we were able to take a 10 minute break.
- My job right now is to harvest wheat for our owners. Along with this, I also have to take care of the animals and sometimes took care of our owners family.
- If I don't do my daily work, I don't get any food and I am hit by my master.
- No that I am done harvesting in the fields, I look to see if my brothers and sisters are done.
- Often times when we sing, the songs are usually about our dreams of freedom or about our awful master.

- We are now going inside to pray in secret. Our parents were Muslim and we also follow Muslim practices.
- Our master does not like to see us practicing any religion, not even their own. Even worse, there are bad consequences if we are caught.
- Our owner has caught the two of us doing religious practices. We now have to be disciplined by him. This always results in us being harmed and treated horribly.
