- He was walking on the sandy shore of a deep inlet and saw a number of mermen and mermaids dancing by moonlight and several seal skins thrown beside them on the ground.However the man noticed that one skin lay close to his feet, so he snatched it up, carried it away quickly, and hid it.
- One day, as one of the children was playing, he found a seal’s skin hidden beneath a stack of corn. He ran with it to his mother to show her what he found.Her eyes glistened with rapture as she looked at the means by which she could travel through the ocean that led to her native home.
- The husband immediately returned and learned that his wife had discovered the seal skin. He ran to catch up to his wife but only arrived in time to see her transformation of shape completed.He congratulate her for escaping in the most tender manner.
