- In the Exposition where the story begins, in this story "Revolt of the Evil Fairies" the story begins when are getting selected for their Christmas play " Prince Charming and Sleeping Beauty". Although in this play they pick by color " and strangely enough most Good Fairies usually turned out to be extremely light in complexion, with straight hair and white folk's features".
- Climax
- In the Rising Action where there problem in the story starts to form, in this story the problem starts with how they select the characters for the play. How they pick mostly light skins to have the goods parts instead of the other color to be." There never was any doubt about Prince Charming and the Sleeping Beauty, they were always light-skinned
- Falling Action
- In this story there are more than one Rising Actions but I picked the most important one's. In this rising was about how the black boy didn't get the Prince Charming part and the boy the got it was someone he didn't like." I was the leading debater and scion of a respected family community, but I could never be Prince Charming, because I black.
- Resolution
- In the Climax it's the problem in the story, and in this story the problems when the black boy fights the boy he doesn't like which is Prince Charming. He fought him because he was mad that the boy got to kiss the girl like, and being Prince Charming so all his anger got to him during his time in the play. "For the time I saw the evil gleam in his eye-or was it may own?-I cut loose with a right to the chin, and the Prince Charming dropped his shinning sword and staggered back".
- In the Falling Action in a story is when the climax is resolved which means the problem has been resolved. In this story the falling action is that the play still went on after the fight. "They might have kept on thinking so if Miss LaPrade hadn't been screaming so hysterically from the sidelines."
- In the Resolution of a story it's the ending of the story, in this story the resolution is when the play ends and how they wouldn't let the black boy appear in the next play. " I lay down and expired according to specification, but Prince Charming will probably remember me sneering corps to his dying day. They wouldn't let me appear in the grand dramatic offering at all next year. But I didn't care. I couldn't have been Prince Charming anyway".
