- Nick, a travel writer, sits down for coffee in a town called Whistler, Canada. A mysterious girl sits next to her as she is watched over by a white-haired old man.

- Nick leaves the hotel to tour the place. On his way back, he meets a woman in a blue dress. Suddenly, a hand on his back pushed him in front of a green car. Nick looks around and sees the white-haired man.

- Nick decides to look for the white-haired man. He sees him at the hotel reception, but a small boy ran in front of him and Nick crashed into him, losing sight of the wanted man.
