- Stamp Act 1765
- The British won the war and got more land. The colonist who fought thought they would be able to go on the ground they fought. The British decided to make the proclamation line. This meant that no one could go on the land they fought for. This made the colonist mad.
- Townshend act 1767
- There will be tax on mostly everything get use to it
- British legislation aimed at ending the smuggling trade in sugar and molasses. The sugar act reduced smuggling but it made it harder for the colonist to afford it. The sugar act enforced the collection of higher taxes and duties. The act also allowed officers to seize smugglers without having them go to court. The colonist protested, and in the act, taxes was lowered.
- Boston massacre 1770
- The Stamp Act was passed to help pay the British troops stationed in the colonies during the seven years. The act made the colonist pay for a stamp which made them mad. The colonist reacted by boycotting British goods and attacks on taxes collectors. The act also made colonists pay for every single paper they used. The tx also included playing cards, dice, and even the newspaper.
- Boston Tea Party
- The Townshend Act happened in 1767. The Townshend Act put taxes on imported goods. Glass, lead, paint, paper, and TEA. The colonist was not happy. The colonist started to boycott goods. ( NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION)
- The Boston Massacre happened on March 5th, 1770. A fight happened between the colonist and the British soldiers. The fight was unfair the British had guns. 5 people were killed. This was used as propaganda against the British.
- The Boston Tea happened on December 16 1773. It was a political protest. American colonist were fustated and angry at Britain for imposing taxation without repersation. The colonist dumped 342 chetsof tea. This tea was imported by Britain east India company.
