- Bud busted out the window when hornets were attacking him. He finally escaped the Amos's shed.
- When Bud escapes the Amos's shed he went to find his dad in Grand Rapids. On the way Lefty Lewis found him and helped him get to Grand Rapids.
- Lefty and Bud get to Grand rapids and Bud thanks Lefty for helping him. Bud goes in the cabin to meet his father and it turns out Herman E. Calloway isn't Bud's father.
- Bud, Mr. Jimmy, Steady Eddie, and Miss Thomas are at the Sweat Pea and are asking Bud questions. They needed to know if Bud is telling the truth. They let him stay at the Grand Calloway Station.
- Miss Thomas showed Bud to his room. They talked to Bud and let him a=have a home at the Grand Calloway Station. They figured out Bud's mom was Angela Janet and the was the name of Herman's daughter.
- They find out Herman is Bud's grandfather. Herman is sad because he just found out his daughter was dead. Anyway Bud never found his father. The real question is will Bud ever figure out who his dad is.
