  • Battle of Lexington and Concord
  • Battle of Bunker Hill
  • Crossing of Delaware
  • April 19, 1775, the first shot was fired at Lexington signifying the start of the Revolutionary war. It was known as the "shot heard around the world". The battle of Lexington and Concord started with the British soldiers winning at Lexington then making their way back to Boston. Along the way, Patriots ambushed the British with a fighting style called guerrilla warfare. The British were forced to retreat.
  • Battle of Saratoga
  • June 17, 1775, Patriots set up camp on top of Breed's Hill and were given the order to not fire until they saw the whites of the British's eyes. After running out of ammunition, the Patriots were forced to retreat, but not before they killed 40% of the British army. The Patriots gained a great deal of confidence.
  • Valley Forge
  • December 25, 1776, George Washington came up with a plan to cross the Delaware River and surprise the Hessians in Trenton while they were celebrating Christmas. His plan was successful and they were able to attack the drunk, partying Hessians. As a result, 800 Hessians were killed and were only managed to kill one American. 
  • Yorktown
  • Only one of Britain's armies made it through a three-pronged attack. Without reinforcements on the way, Burgoyne was surrounded. As a result of this win, the Americans were able to convince the French they could win the Revolution, thereby convincing them to join.
  • Following Washington's defeat in Philadelphia, he set up camp. It was said that Valley Forge was hell on earth. Many diseases were raging and supplies were scarce. To prepare soldiers for battle, Baron developed a training program at Valley Forge.
  • Lord Cornwallis established a camp on a peninsula. However, the French prevented British ships from bringing in reinforcements. Cornwallis had no choice but to surrender when George Washington attacked from the right while Comte De Rochambeau and Marquis de Lafayette attacked from the left.
