- CRUST
- The first layer of the earth is the Earth's crust, the crust is the thinnest layer, first layer of the earth, the crust is what we live on, and finally the earths crust is composed of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks!
- MANTLE
- I have a question Mr.Marcel.. what do you know about the mantle?
- Great question! The mantle is the second layer of the earth, the thickest, and also takes up about 84% of the Earth's volume!
- SQUIRREL! Wait, I must stay focused you're right Leonardo! Now let's talk about the third layer of the Earth, the outer core. The outer core is responsible for the Earth's magnetic field, it is about 2,300 km thick, it is made of liquid iron and nickel!!
- The last layer of the Earth is the inner core, it is the hottest layer,if you compare to the sun the inner core is hotter than the surface of the sun, it is the smallest layer, it is made up of iron and nickel. Another fact about the inner core is 1,200 km thick.
