  • Braun’s friend , Elias Hoffman , introduced Braun to join the Kapp Putsch which was lead by Wolfgang Kapp and Walther von Lüttwitz . Elias told him all about what they are going to do to the government .

  • Braun agreed to join the Kapp putsch as a part of the Friekorps (Free corps) because he wanted to get revenge on the Weimar government for neglecting him.

  • After President found out about the Kapp Putsch plan , President Ebert instructed the German army to act upon this rebellion. Unfortunately, they refused as they did not want to act upon their fellow soldiers in the Friekorps.

  • We are going to overthrow the government ! Munich Putsch !
  • The Kapp Putsch eventually overthrew the German government . Hence Wolfgang Kapp asked him to join them to govern Germany and be in the new government . Braun was cautious in his decision as he does not want the same thing happening again and told them that he will think about it .

  • He then seek advice from Hitler as he was the leader of the Nazi Party was because Braun did not wanted to betray his party . Hitler then advised him to not join and instead help the Nazi Party win the elections .
  • Months later , Hitler came up with a plan called , “ Munich Putsch “ . Through the process , Braun diligently helped hitler to make the plan possible .
