- Please finish your tea while I answer the door, children.

- I wanted a word, Mrs.Peaceful.
- The Peacefuls and Molly were having their afternoon tea in the dining room.
- I know what you're saying Colonel, you want us out.
- I know it is quite indelicate to broach the subject after your husband's death, however, you simply have no right to live here anymore... Tied to his work this house is under the power of my estate.
- Oh don't put it that way Mrs.Peaceful, we just need to form an arrangement...
- There was a sudden knock at the door, stopping their conversing immediately. Mrs.Peaceful seemed at once to know who it was. She stood up, smoothed her blazer, and fixed her hair.
- But, what about my children!?
- As you know... My wife isn't in the best condition, and her lady's maid has just given notice. In replace of your late husband's job in order to live in this house you must work for my wife. She needs constant care every hour of everyday.

- Mrs.Peaceful shuts the door and leads the Colonel to their back garden, where they would speak of an 'Arrangement.' Tommo and Charlie left Big Joe and Molly at the table, as they would eavesdrop on their conversation.
- The Colonel tells Mrs.Peaceful about the arrangement and she was just able to maintain her calm.

- Mrs.Peaceful knelt onto her knees and sobbed into her hands. The boys, Big Joe, and Molly comforted her and sang 'Oranges and Lemons' to cheer her up. They all sang along together loud enough so that the Colonel could hear them.
