- Every object has a center of gravity however it's center is not actually in the object.
- Do you know what an objects center of gravity is?
- How do you find an objects center of gravity
- First, you hang up the object and draw a line from wherever its hanging to the bottom of the object. Reposition the object and do the previous steps again. Wherever the two line meet is the objects center of gravity.
- Where can the center of gravity be found on humans?
- A humans center of gravity can be found near their belly button.
- Have you ever played Bottle Flip and the bottle almost landed but it didn't?
- The reason the bottle doesn't stay upright is because it's center of gravity is outside of the bottles base area. That is what causes most objects to fall.
- Yes, I was always very upset when it didn't stick the landing. I also wondered why it fell over instead of staying upright
- What kind of stability would that cone be considered
- A neutral object's center of gravity stays the same no matter what. If you kick that ball to me it will keep moving until I stop it
- That cone would be considered a stable equilibrium because it has a wide base and if it's center of gravity was moved somewhere else it would still stand up
