- I'm Jinnae. I work for the woman who prepares prisoners for the pit. Today is the day you fight the lion. You get only a shield and a staff, which you must hit the lion's left ear with.
- How am I going to fight the lion? Why can't you help me escape?
- I truly wish I could! Yet this is your battle; but if you win, you are officially a nobleman, and free to live in the palace and own land. I wish it were I who could win; I was taken here years age; stopped counting birthdays because if I was 15, I'd become the Queen's servant
- He fought the lion. After an hour, the tip of the wand hit home, and the lion was defeated.
- I am often told so madam.
- You are a most Talented boy. Maybe a little too talented.
- Aye, sir! Tomorrow ye be meeting' the princesses!
- What are you doing?! What's this head thing?
- We're only takin' your measurements for ur clothes sir. You can't be seen in that rubbish!
- I'd like you to meet my daughters; some of them at least.
